American Express Shop Small Promo $15 ($5 x 3)
This is a great promo AmEx is running that helps support small businesses. Check your cards to see if you have this offer! Basically the offer is, spend $10 at a small business and get a $5 credit. This promotion can be used 10x per card for a savings of $50 total. Between the two of us, we have this promo on four of our cards so we’ll be (hopefully) saving $200 thanks to this promo before it expires on September 20th. Hurry up and check if you’ve been target – signup ends on August 23rd! Details here.
If you don’t have an AmEx card, I’d recommend checking out the American Express Blue Cash Everyday card. It currently has an elevated sign up bonus of $100 plus 20% back at Amazon. Read out write up here.
Target Debit Card Promo $120 ($40 x 3)
Target was running a debit card promo through July 25th – sign up for a debit card and receive $40 off a $40+ shopping trip. They mailed out coupons for the promo and it turns out there was an in store code and an online code. Between the two of us that came out to $160! We still have one coupon left and will use it on an upcoming shopping trip. While this deal has expired, they seem to be running promotions fairly frequently. Be sure to subscribe to our emails to catch the latest deals!
Amazon save $15 off $50 with Chase Points
The bad news: our microwave died. Wah! The good news: I saved $15 on a new model. Amazon is running a promo to save $15 off a purchase of $50 or more when using Chase Points. The great news is, you only have to use 1 point to make this happen. I want to make sure you DON’T pay for your purchase entirely with points – they are WAY more valuable redeemed towards travel. But just one? Yes!
MyPoints 165,000 points (worth $110+)
MyPoints is offering 165,000 points for signing up for a bank account with NorthOne. Requirements were easy enough, deposit $50 and wait 32 days. Points are valued about 1,500 for $10 but you can shop around and find higher values when you redeem for giftcards. I’ll probably cash out for a visa card or Amazon card. Or, maybe Sephora… If you sign up for a MyPoints account you’ll get a $10 gift card with this referral! Thank you for supporting this site!
Personal Capital $20 referral
Personal Capital is a great site for managing your money. You can use it to track your bank accounts, credit cards and investments, etc. They are running a great promo for $20 for each person you refer – they also get $20! If you have Personal Capital, be sure to refer your friends and fam. If not, give the service a try! Read my full write up here.
Long John Silver’s ~$4
Okay, not too proud to share this one. My high school boyfriend’s dad used to say he was going to LJS for an oil change! I kinda agree with the man. But, every 5,000 miles you need an oil change, er, some hushpuppies! Signing up for their emails netted me some free grub. Loved every last bite of it!
Our internet bill was creeping up on us so we made a call. Luckily they allowed us to get the promo rate again. It’s always worthwhile to call retention! $10 a month? I’ll take it!
DoorDash – the deal that got away!
DoorDash is doing an amazing promo right now – Summer of DashPass where they are offering free food and discounted food through September. Last week Chipotle was BOGO and…. we missed it! Somehow, the week got away from me and I had plenty of produce in the fridge. I am NOT going to miss this week’s deal – $20 off $20+ on a pickup order! Read our write up here.
How did you do last week? I hope you got some ideas for saving this week! Thanks for reading!
